Things have been busy to say the least. It has been a blessing to watch my business grow and to work with some amazing people along the way. Each job I take on is a unique opportunity to not only help my company grow but to help those I’m working with as well. It can be as simple as helping someone get back online after a nasty virus took over their computer. Or it can be helping a family start their business and own their first website.  Unfortunately this work has caused me to slip a bit on my goals of having a blog.

Originally I wanted to post a few times a month but looking back, it has been a few months since I last posted (Ops!). That’s why I’m making it my new goal to get at least one post a month for the remainder of the year.  So with that said, let’s get started on a recap of everything that has happened this year…

Web Design in Central New York:

Thayer2Design continues to grow as one of the top web design companies in CNY. We have worked hard to grow our reputation and it is a great feeling seeing more and more websites in the area having been created by us. As mentioned before, we’ve worked with some great individuals and companies over the last few months. In fact Thayer2Design has easily doubled the number of clients we have from the previous year. Perhaps the most rewarding web design job that we could receive is when we hear that a client was referred to us by a previous client. This lets us know that we not only did a great job on their website, but that we left a lasting impression.

But no matter how big we grow (and trust us, we’re not even close to the finish line) Thayer2Design will always hold onto its values and make sure that the customer is rewarded for choosing us for their Web Design and Computer Repair needs.  When you’re looking for a web designer in your area, no one will work harder for your business and no one will treat you better then we will. The fact is, as a client, you’re not a dollar sign and you’re certainly not “just another client”. When you sign up with us to do your website, or you come to us with a computer issue, you’re a part of the team. Each client is treated the same no matter how big or small the project.

Syracuse Web Designer:

If you remember from the start of 2015 one of my goals was to reach out further into the Syracuse area. Most of my business was done locally in Canastota, Oneida, Rome and the surrounding areas.  I wanted to expand further and continue my outreach in the Syracuse area and part of that was by growing my search engine rankings for keywords like “Syracuse Web Designer” and “Web Design in Syracuse NY”. I’m pleased to say that this goal can be described as “so far, so good”. I know that I have a lot of work ahead of me but here’s what I have so far.

Multiple businesses have reached out to me in just this year alone requesting a new website or to have their previous website redesigned. For example Roma’s Italian Eatery in Syracuse, NY had their website built by us. We also built a website for Green Venture and Cold Spring LC. They are two of the top landscaping companies in the area. My most recent Website in Syracuse is for a company named Clouldnynco which is a growing pet supplies store.  These companies could have gone anywhere because there are tons of web designers in the area. However they choose Thayer2Design for their web design needs and we are thankful for that. When it comes to affordable, high quality websites we back up our word every time and it’s our promise to make sure they are left happy and satisfied with the work we have done.

Computer Repair in CNY:

I’ve always been honest that Web Design is first and foremost when it comes to my business. It’s what I went to school for and it’s what takes up the most of my time during the week. But I would be lying if I said I didn’t have just as strong of a passion for PC Repair as I do for Web Design.  This year I’ve probably done more computer jobs than any other year. From virus removal in Syracuse, System Restores in Rome, or replacing a laptop keyboard right here in Canastota. I’ve been all over Central New York doing jobs for individuals and businesses who needed help. I enjoy the idea of having a problem and working towards a solution to fix that problem. The more jobs I do, the more I learn and feel comfortable in those computer repair jobs. It also helps that my family always has some kind of computer task for me to take a look at.

Windows 10:

You can tell that I’ve been slacking on my blog just by looking at Windows. When I first posted on here we had Windows 8 and now we already have Windows 10! For those wondering, I’m pretty pleased with Microsoft and their latest version of Windows. For those who were frustrated by the confusing nature of Windows 8, you can be relieved to learn that Windows 10 is much easier to use. For example the start menu is now back so instead of trying to navigation for a program you’re looking for or search through hundreds of icons. You can now open up the start menu like you could in Windows 10 and XP. You also never have to leave your desktop in Windows 10. Remember in Win 8 when you tried to open up your Weather App and suddenly your desktop was gone and you couldn’t figure out how to get back? With Windows 10 your Weather App opens in your desktop. Everything is right in front of you now and that’s a welcome change.

Perhaps the best part of Windows 10 is the price. For anyone who owns a copy of Windows 7 or 8, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free. Upgrading isn’t too difficult and should take you about an hour to do. I would highly recommend making the switch as you won’t be disappointed.

Final Thoughts:

There is no doubt that 2015 has been a big year, but it’s important to remember that it’s not over yet. I talked a lot about Web Design and Computer Repair in terms of myself, but moving forward with my blog I already have a few ideas in mind that will be geared more towards my readers. Hopefully this will help you with any computer issues you might be having, or assisting you with your online goals for your website. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you again soon!
